Dublyn (Jul, 2019)

While we were in Allentown, we rescued a puppy from Lab-rescue. How could you not rescue Dublyn – she looks like she has a tear in her eye.

When we got her, she was very skinny. Apparently she was on the streets for the first couple of months until the dog pound rescued her. She had fleas and ticks. The pound immediately put her on medication and eventually transferred her to Lab-Rescue.org who completed the medication. We finally rescued her on July 20. We drove 5.5 hours from Allentown, PA to Lynchburg, VA to get her. Dogs do not last long on Lab-rescue.org so we knew we needed to get there quickly.

Anyhow, the Vet did a DNA test on her. She is 25% Lab, 25%
Treeing Walker Coonhound, 12.5% miniature poodle, 12.5% maltese and 25% hound group. In other words, she is a mutt and won’t get any bigger than a poodle. The Treeing Walker Coonhound is a dog that will climb a tree after a racoon. We haven’t seen her try to climb but she has stretched up on the trunk.

It also showed her family tree.

We are enjoying her. She can jump easily to the height of the counter and sometimes she gets spastic at night and runs around the RV very fast. We just let her go because afterwards she will relax.

Hope you get to meet her if you haven’t already.
