Florida – Miami (Dec 2019)

First, Merry Christmas from Miami. Nice weather at the beach.

We have been in Miami since October. Not doing much but relaxing. Mike has been driving Lyft which has kept him busy. Lorraine is still barely working but they are paying her so she is trying to relax. (haha).

We are finding that Miami has some very rude people. There is no welcome to anyone hear. Even the people at CVS are rude. Mike has had many riders who speak to him in Spanish and when he says he doesn’t speak Spanish they get very angry.

The traffic is a nightmare here also. To go 10 miles it will take you 45-60 minutes. We have decided that we won’t come back unless we are passing through Key West.

We had to see the new Hard Rock Casino. The biggest guitar in the world.

They use lights for the neck. The Lights will also change colors. Casino was nice and clean especially since it was so new. The air was great also. Even though there were smokers the air was clear. Nice ventilation.

So of course, we wanted to see the murals. We figured there was some strong Latin American/Cuban influence but were surprised with what we found. There are many so take you time looking at them. Just so you know, we missed a lot. We did to go to Wynwood which is the mural central area.  Wynwood is so dense with murals that it is getting hard to find an empty wall.

Not sure if the sreaking was part of the mural or if the paint ran.
Not sure who this but looks like Mark Zuckerburg
Great picture. Can’t imagine how long this took.
What a way to paint a boring building. So who can tell us what these are?
Mice, squirrels, ???
This definitely seems Latin American/Cuban
