Texas – Houston (Jun 13 2020)

When you can’t go inside, you have to travel outside. So we looked at Murals (Street Art) in Houston. There are supposed to be more than 100 in the city BUT we didn’t take that many pictures. If you want to see more, you can always go to https://findmasa.com/city/houston

Houston is known as always changing so you never know what you will see. Below are some great ones. Enjoy.

Let’s start with one of the murals about George Floyd. This is just one of more than ten in the city.

George Floyd

So wanted to share a mural what was on the side of a Urgent Care building. After seeing this, you may be feeling better because, hopefully, you don’t have these injuries.

Pinata Day!
This was done on a stucco wall and the colors and the drawing is awesome.
The Owl

Great colors with a heart in the center.
That a great way to say Thank you. Champ Burger has been around since 1963.

The pictures of Gandhi and Martin Luther King are nice…on the side of a Hemp Shop.

Side of a cinder block wall – take me home with food truck being towed.
The talent of this artist is awesome.
This is a portion of a large wall. You have to have Bugs Bunny!
Preservons La Creation (Let’s Preserve the Creation). Portrait of God, arms outstretched, with spray paint can in his hand.. This is an awesome mural. 60 feet tall and 180 feet wide – total 8,00 square feet. Artist is Sebastian “Mr. D” Boileau.
These two pictures are the corner of building. We loved the detail and the colors.
The Phoenix
Painting the whole house! Love how they are pulling back the curtains for the view of Houston.
This is on the side of Numbers Night Club by Rene Fernandez. Famous 80’s and 90’s alternative music artists. Includes Deborah Harry (center), David Bowie and others.
