Kansas -Wichita – Murals (Jun 13, 2021)

This is our third posting from Wichita and we are providing you pictures of some Murals. There are over 50 murals in Wichita but we picked the ones we liked best. Unfortunately, we don’t have the names of the mural or the artists and could not find them online. Enjoy.

How about starting with a Guiness World Record as the world’s largest mural painted by a single artist. The mural is on the east side of the Beachner grain elevator on 21st Street. By Colombian street artist GLeo. Her work depicts people of color in various sizes and positions – nearly all appear to be looking toward the horizon. A young woman in the center represents Wichita. The mural overall is hopeful and vibrant.
Here is a picture of the grain towers before the painting.
