We did a quick visit to Las Vegas, which really was a five hour drive.
Before we decided to move to the Phoenix area, we had already made reservations to go see Shin Lin, the America’s Got Talent magician. We were always stunned to see his acts so we thought we would buy tickets and go see him at the the Mirage. (We don’t know why he loves to have his hair messy. lol.)
Alongside Shin is special guest ‘AGT’ finalist Colin Cloud – The Real Life Sherlock Holmes and a mind reader. He made a joke that he came in 2nd to a 7 year old in America’s Got Talent.
So besides an introduction act by Colin, Shin does do a magic trick with the whole audience. We did it and it worked. (Maybe one day we will try to do the trick ourselves – even though we don’t understand how we got the result.)
We never figured out any of the tricks by Shin (which had a camera on his hands the whole time) or how Collin could read minds from the audience. One trick that Collin did was through three balls into the audience. Each person was to give him a random word and when he turned the whiteboard around all three words were listed.
We obviously cannot write well about this show. Overall, this show was worth it and highly recommend you go.
On our trip back, we drove through Kingman, AZ and found some great murals.
So a quick trip to Vegas. The good news is we left with more money than we came with but not enough to retire.
